Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Famanager collects, uses, and protects your household's information.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, such as your email address, member name, and household data (tasks, events, grocery lists, meal plans, recipes). Your password is never stored in plain text.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to provide and improve the Famanager service. This includes syncing your household data across devices and diagnosing technical issues.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data with trusted service providers who assist in operating our platform, subject to confidentiality agreements.
4. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and hashed passwords. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we strive to protect your information.
5. Cookies
Famanager stores a sign-in session in your browser’s local storage so you stay logged in between visits. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your household is active. You may request deletion of your household data at any time by contacting us.
7. Google Calendar Integration
If you choose to connect Google Calendar, Famanager requests access to read and write events on your Google Calendar so it can two-way sync events between Famanager and Google Calendar. We access only your calendar event data (titles, dates, times, locations, and descriptions) — never your email content, contacts, files, or any other Google data. This access is used solely to display your Google events inside Famanager and to create events in Google Calendar that you added in Famanager; it is never used for advertising, never sold, and never shared with any third party. Famanager's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Your Google access and refresh tokens are stored in Famanager's household data store, accessible only to signed-in members of your household, and are deleted immediately if you disconnect Google Calendar from Settings. Sync only runs when a household member presses "Sync now" — Famanager never accesses your Google Calendar in the background.
8. Children's Privacy
Famanager is a family app and may be used by household members of any age under the supervision of an adult family member; we do not knowingly collect personal information beyond a first name and a color for any household member.
9. North Carolina Residents
If you are a resident of North Carolina, you have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you and to request its correction or deletion, consistent with applicable state law.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via an in-app notice. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
